Well, I'm just a Mum.
A Mum with not much cash trying to get through the day.
A Mum with not much cash trying to get through the day with The Boy (2years old) and The Girl (6months old).
I don't really subscribe to any particular philosophies of child rearing and try to avoid the intellectualizing of parenting (yawn!), and instead just get on with the important job of doing it. I just try to keep The Boy engaged, busy and happy, and The Girl tends to follow suit.
A few of my friends have asked where I get my crafting inspiration from. I hadn't thought I really had any ideas, I'm just trying to keep The Boy and The Girl amused without too much collateral damage.
But friends insist I'm pretty good at activities at home with the kids. Perhaps my haphazard brain is amused by the same things as a two year old.....
So I thought maybe I'd share some of these musings on child amusements.....
There's some essentials all Mums should have;
A supply of fabric bits and ribbons
Card, cardboard boxes, newspapers etc
Some poster paints, a couple of cheap brushes and PVA glue
Glitter (to be used with caution and with the understanding that with one false move you may be vacuuming up glitter for the rest of your life)
A laminator (this should be supplied in the Bounty Pack; it is, in my opinion, a parenting essential)
